-"It's not enough to rage against the lie...you've got to replace it with the truth."
-Bono of U2
Paid to Remember
I wish so much that you could see
See the sweet simplicity
I suppose that maybe you would be
But your words give proper clarity
Frost of bitter and the bitter of winter
Heat of splinter
The cost of redemption
Paid to remember
Open up your eyes
Open up your eyes
Open up your eyes
And see that I love you
Confusion in complexity
Breeds contempt of humility
And fear of equality
Builds walls of security
You speak of humanity
Of your help of the needy
The needs of their ignorance
Of the things you give importance
Open up your eyes
Open up your eyes
Open up your eyes
And see that I love you
Superiority of your sacrifice
Surrender in the recompense
Equality in consequence
Vision in the aftermath
In the end there's only love
In the end there's only love
Open up your eyes
Open up your eyes
Open up your eyes
And see that I love you

Top O The Morning to you. My brain is running on all 8 cylinders this morning and I'm feeling great. I wrote a song last night, had my first legitimate business idea in forever, and got to catch up with my friend Tara Leigh Cobble on the phone. TLC is in Nashville finishing up her third record. I can't wait to hear it.
Song:
The Same
You don't even hear the words I say
Won't you Listen
And when you look for answers
All I hear are more complaints
I wish you could see me
I wish you would never run away
I wish you could know me
I wish you would turn and go my way
But Even if you turn and go away
I'll still be there
And Even if you call another name
I'll still feel... The Same
Pedro the Lion Lyrics
Letter From A Concerned Follower (Radio Session) Lyrics
It's weird to think of all the things
That have not been keeping up with the times
It's ten o'clock the sun has just now
Begun to set the western hills on fire
And I hear that you don't change
How to you expect to keep up with the trends?
You won't survive the information age
Unless you plan to change the truth
To accommodate the brilliance of men, the brilliance of men
Some folks think we're better now
Social evolution's new synthetic will
Will keep us on a straighter path
As better men use brand new math
With no wrong answers
I'm just a little bit worried
Do you have some sort of plan?
Have you been finally defeated
By the cunning of these fully evolved men?
And I hear that you don't change
How do you expect to keep up with the trends?
You won't survive the information age
Unless you plan to change the truth
To accommodate the brilliance of men, the brilliance of men
We had an amazing time at church last night. The praise and worship was awesome! The band really clicked together and we played some new songs. This is a great time to what my friend calls "wash the world off of you". This means that when you come to church there is no telling what kind of a day you have had. Some people are happy, some are sad, some are stressed out, some are worried about something or someone, etc. The time that we have to spend singing praise and worship sort of just washes all of those worries and cares away, and gets everyone in one frame of mind.... and that is to Hear the Word of God. It is great and last night was particularly nice.
Last nights Bible study caught me off guard (in a good way). They showed up ready to hear the truth! The Senior High has started a topical discussion. I wanted to give them a chance to ask specific questions concerning issues that they are dealing with. We've gone through three books in previous studies, and that was a great chance for them to learn how to read the Word, how to break it down in digestible quantities, and apply it to their lives.
Now we're learning how to find and answer to something that they might
be struggling with. They are learning that no matter what the situation that life may bring them, they can find answers, direction, love, and grace in God's Word. I continue to be impressed and satisfied with their enthusiasm to know the Word and get closer to God.
I was really floored when one of my freshman answered a question that had been tossed out into the room, by taking us to a specific scripture that was totally applicable! We were all like, "Where did that come from !!!!" I just smiled with great satisfaction.
KEEP GOING!!!!!
Peace,
JB
Good morning everyone. I'm having a great day already and happy to be at work. Yesterday was pretty great too. I've finally done some work on the photolab, so it much more organized now then it was. I do have a folder in there called "Friend Finder" and for this I need your help. Please send me a picture of you and a little bit of info (ie. where you're from, some general favorites like music, movies, etc. and any comments that you want under your pic... ). It will be cool I promise.
I hope that everyone begins to use the forum. It is a great communication tool. I had never used one before this one, so if you are like I was .... don't be afraid. It's easy. Just register and then post anything that's on your mind. You can respond to any of the current topics or create your own. You don't have to have a profound statement to create a topic. It can just be everyday things or something you saw on TV, a cool new band you heard, whatever....
we do have some categories that will let us talk about some serious things, faith, international turmoil, economy... and anything else that we struggle with and I hope that you all feel free to dive into those things. However, I also want people to feel like they can be light hearted and have fun with it too. We'll just see how it will develop and shape up.
