Hi everyone! I've survived a couple of church camps in Texas and a Vacation Bible school with seemingly zillions of kids. Although by the end of my church marathon I was pretty wiped out, it was a blast and an amazing time. I know that several of my kids will never be the same and I'm excited to see where they go from here.
We made friends with people from all over, but had particular fun with the church from Waco, Tx. They're supposed to come up this fall, and I hope that they do. We stayed at their church on the way back from MO Ranch and had a blast playing sardines (for those of you who don't know, it is the opposite of hide-and-go-seek.... two people hide, turn all the lights off and the rest try to find them without getting too creeped out). The Waco First Pres is very scary at night with no lights on. But we survived and were happy about Krispy Kreme donuts and Starbucks coffee.

Mmmmmmmmm...........
For those of you who haven't tried it, DO IT!, DO IT!
You'll have to check out the forum to see what the kids had to say about camp, but I was amazed and thrilled at how well everyone responded to digging deeper into the Word. We're about to launch back into the youth program in full swing. I'm stoked and am sure that I'll have great things to report.
Major things that I got from the past month.
Hope. I got to look in the eyes of the next generation and see that they are looking for something real and are still open to hearing the truth. This was very encouraging.
Vision. I realized that these kids are in desperate need of truthful leadership. Without it they are left to trust whatever is around them (tv, movies, others kids at school), and this is the blind leading the blind.
Take care and have an AMAZING DAY!!!!
